About the role:

This role calls for someone who can confidently navigate Agile, SAFe, PRINCE2, waterfall, or hybrid environments while keeping schedules, risks, dependencies and budgets firmly on track. It oversees technical delivery from integration and testing readiness through to release and transition, ensuring smooth, coordinated implementation.

Collaboration is key, with strong engagement across clients, business teams, and stakeholders to shape solutions that genuinely meet user and organisational needs. Clear documentation, insightful reporting, and proactive communication keep decision‑makers informed, while leadership and mentoring help lift the capability of the whole team.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

About you

We are seeking a standout project professional with the capability to cut through complexity; manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality outcomes on time and on budget. You bring proven experience delivering complex business and technology initiatives, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and stakeholders in fast paced environments. With strong technical literacy across enterprise systems, integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, data migration, testing and implementation, you confidently lead end to end delivery.

Your communication is clear and influential; whether preparing executive reports, governance papers, or engaging with senior leaders, technical teams and suppliers. You navigate challenges with sharp problem‑solving, sound governance knowledge and a practical solutions‑focused mindset. Experience with tools like Smartsheet, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Project are highly valued, as are relevant project management or technology qualifications.
