About the role: (Temporary full-time for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)

The Technical Business Analyst supports the assessment of digital and technical solutions across a range of strategic initiatives. The role works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, solution architects, and delivery teams to analyse current and future state requirements, assess technical options and support selection and implementation of fit-for-purpose solutions.

This is a hands-on role where you will be working with various collaboration tools (e.g., Miro, Confluence) with a focus on business process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and business case development to enable the successful selection and implementation of fit-for-purpose solutions.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you:

You are an experienced technology professional who can bridge business and technology and assess solutions for what they add to a wider technology portfolio. You will be required to combine your business analysis capabilities with a technical understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred), SaaS platforms, and APIs integration patterns, and digital tools to drive value and innovation in the ongoing replacement and augmentation of Parliament’s digital systems.  Experience in public sector ICT environments or large-scale enterprise settings would be an advantage as would experience with Agile delivery frameworks and tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).
