About the role:
Join us as our Executive Director Corporate Services and lead with impact. The Executive Director provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and guidance across the Corporate Services portfolio. The role will:

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

You will lead and shape a diverse corporate services portfolio, driving high-quality, efficient, and customer-focused services that enable the Department to achieve its strategic objectives. As a senior leader, you will champion innovation, inclusion, and evidence-based decision-making, ensuring governance, systems, and processes support organisational performance and continuous improvement.
To succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in:
- Leading and transforming corporate services at a senior level in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Strategic planning, financial management, and resource optimisation to deliver results
- Driving workforce capability, digital transformation, and operational improvements
- Implementing governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks aligned with public sector values
- Building trusted relationships with multiple senior stakeholders to influence outcomes and enable organisational success

Critical to success in the role will be the appointee’s demonstrated capacity to work within a consensus-based organisational culture.
