About the role: (Temporary full-time for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)       

We are seeking a technically curious and business-savvy professional to join our team as an Enterprise Technology Consultant.

This role is focused on leading the discovery, evaluation, and definition of technical solutions that align with business needs, enterprise architecture, and strategic goals. The Enterprise Technology Consultant bridges business and technology by conducting market assessments, shaping solution architecture, and supporting procurement and implementation of scalable, user-centric systems. It also contributes to enterprise and information architecture, innovation management, and data governance, contributing to business cases, options papers and strategic investment planning.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you:

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience across modern cloud platforms, SaaS solutions, and enterprise architecture, someone with experience with, and who enjoys evaluating market offerings, product comparisons, and feasibility analysis, to shape the future state of a digital ecosystem.

You will be an experienced technology professional with experience in public sector ICT environments or large-scale enterprise settings.  Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience are required, and certifications in Azure architecture or related cloud technologies are desirable, though not essential.  The role will manage the data strategy including modelling, classification and lifecycle management.
