About us
The Wagga Wagga Electorate Office is the point of contact for constituents and local community groups to engage with the Member for Wagga Wagga regarding state government services and responsibilities.
About the position
The successful candidate, as a part of the electorate office team, will be an initial point of contact for all constituent enquiries. Administrative functions are central to this role to support the Member, and to ensure the efficient operation of the electorate office. The role may require some after-hours work.
Local knowledge of the Wagga Wagga and surrounding areas would be well regarded.

- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to hear from and liaise with community groups, government and non-government organisations.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Demonstrated superior organisational skills to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated capacity to exercise sound judgement and ability to perform at a high standard under limited supervision and within a team environment.
- An interest in, and understanding of, the Australian political context and Australian parliamentary procedures and processes.
- Good word processing/keyboard and computer skills in an office environment.
