About the role (Temporary full-time for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)

The Assistant Parliamentary Accountant is responsible for assisting in the financial management and reporting for Parliament of NSW and for providing day-to-day support to the Parliamentary Accounting team. This is achieved through maintaining accurate asset records, supporting acquisition and disposal processes, asset reporting and audits. You will have additional exposure to with month-end financial reporting; Catering inventory management; general ledger reconciliations and taxation returns.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales.
